Celebrating 2 years of working with Robert August
May 27, 2013
“My travels have taken me all over the world and I have met great people. Now a big part of the world is coming to me. I truly enjoy meeting everyone at Witch’s Rock Surf Camp. This place is bitchin!'” ~ Robert August
Nearly two years ago, a partnership was formed between Witch’s Rock Surf Camp and Robert August with the goal being to create the ultimate surfing experience in Costa Rica. Today, that partnership remains stronger then ever with all of us eagerly anticipating what lies ahead.
Few people have had the impact on surfing that Robert has had. If you’re just learning how to surf, knowing and understanding Mr. August’s story and what he means to surfing will help you to better understand the passion that drives all of us. For those who have surfed for years, not a lot needs to be said about Robert’s place in surfing history. He is a pioneer and a legend. He also happens to be a really great guy that genuinely cares about helping everyone to love surfing as much as he does.
So what’s ahead for Witch’s Rock Surf Camp & Robert August?
We continue to shape surfboards here at the Surf Camp. Aside from Robert’s classic “What I Ride” longboards, expect some old-school surfboard designs to reappear from the shaping room. We’re also designing and printing some new Robert August shirts and hats that you’ll definitely want to check out. For info on any Robert August gear, please send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We’re truly blessed to have a living legend like Robert August as part of the Witch’s Rock family. There’s no one better to share the history, the craft, and the stoke of surfing than Robert. His involvement with our brand further enriches the Witch’s Rock Surf Camp experience for our guests, our employees and our community.
Thank you again for making this all possible. We appreciate you being a part of the WRSC family and continually look for new ways to make your surfing experience here in Costa Rica one that you will never forget.
