Surf Report for Sunday, May 29th 2011

Tamarindo

A lot of fun to be had this morning.  Winds were calm and offshore leaving the water glassy and green.

Waves started out moderate, coming in around waist high early in the morning, then building to should to head high by mid morning when the tide had filled in a little.  The River Mouth seems to be starting to come alive in advance of tomorrows big swell.

By mid-day things had calmed down somewhat with the winds turning onshore and the waves becoming a bit inconsistent.  At sunset we were had mostly waist high with the winds still moving onshore but staying fairly calm.  Things were closing pretty quickly with the occasional wave staying open.

The predictions for tomorrow are in the neighbor hood of overhead to double over coming out of the SSW with some contribution out of the S.  If your looking for something huge find yourself a nice S facing beach and charge it.  We´re going to see some significant size here in Tama and if predictions hold true the conditions should be clean in the morning until about 10am when the winds begin to switch onshore and by noon things will begin to get choppy.

High Tide for Monday at 12:58am/1:09pm

Low at 6:48am/7:27pm

Time of Post 6:32pm Local Time
