Surf Report for Thursday, February 24th 2011 (Afternoon/Evening)

Tamarindo

Around 9am today we had a little something going in the river mouth as well as the main break.  With waves coming in between waist and chest high.  Unfortunately the wind kicked onshore around 10am and squashed most of the waves.

The wind remained onshore for most of the day with a few breaks when some nice set would roll in.  Towards the evening with wind holding cross shore we did get some nice sets that were very ridable.  Conditions stayed a little choppy but were not too bad.

For the next few days the swell should stay pretty stable from chest to shoulder high coming out of the SSW.  Tomorrow will be a good day to get in the water early as the winds will move onshore sometime around 11am and conditions are predicted to stay choppy for the rest of the afternoon.

High Tide for Friday at 8:12am/8:39pm

Time of Post 7:47pm local time.
