Surf Report for Tuesday, June 7th 2011

Tamarindo

This morning started out nearly perfect with calm offshore winds and waist to chest high waves.  The water was glassy and clean with some great shape.  There were short periods of closeouts as the sets got bigger than the Main could handle but in between there were some lovely lefts riding into the river mouth.  As the tide sucked out the waves did die a little but with the winds staying offshore for the day there were always some rides to be had.  In the afternoon towards sunset the winds had nearly died leaving the water still glassy.  The Main saw some size come back but there were quit a few close out sets.  Pico Pequeño was a bit smaller than the Main but had some better shape.

For Wednesday forecasts are for a small spike in the swell with 1-3 foot overhead out of the SSW/SW in the early morning.  Conditions should be fair but with a chance of the winds begining to kick onshore around by mid-morning there could be some chop showing up in the water around 11am.

High Tide for Wednesday at 7:25am/7:46pm

Low at 12:59am/1:32pm

Time of Post 8:33pm Local Time
