Surf Report for Friday, May 27th 2011

Avellanas

We headed south today for a little trip out.  Waves were on the smaller side coming in around waist high for the most part.  Winds were running side shore but the conditions in the water stayed pretty clean for most of the day.  With a big swell on the way the waves are still a little disorganized but there were definitely some nice rides, both rights and lefts.

Back in Tamarindo for the afternoon conditions were not great.  Winds shifted onshore and stayed moderate to heavy for the remainder of the day.  Conditions in the water were pretty choppy and there break was completely disorganized at times.  Waves were around knee to waist high but did pick up a little around 4:30 with some chest high sets rolling through and a little more organization.

For Saturday we should see the swell building up out of the S and SW with shoulder to head high predicted for the day.   For the morning we should see some light sideshore winds until around 10am when they will begin to kick around and run light to moderate onshore for the remainder of the day.  Clean in the AM with chop in the PM.

High tide for Tomorrow at 11:38am

Low Tide at 5:11am/5:57pm

Time of Post 8:04pm Local Time
