Surf Report for Monday, May 23rd 2011

Tamarindo

Another great morning session here on the main break.  Waves were not huge, mostly coming in around waist high with some occasional shoulder high, but the shape was great and the water was glassy.  Winds were moving light sideshore to offshore and were pretty neutral on the waves.

Towards mid-day we did see a bit of a lull in the waves but there were still fair conditions even with winds coming onshore.

Things cleaned up for the late afternoon/sunset.  Waves came back in around waist high with some chest high on the sets.  The crowd was a bit bigger but with both the Main and the River Mouth working there was enough space for all.  Winds calmed down and stayed running sideshore.

For Tuesday we are looking at a small drop in swell with the waves predicted around shoulder high coming out of the SSW.  We will probably be seeing waves around waist high here on the Main break.  Winds should be Light and offshore in the early morning then turn onshore in the late morning.  They will most likely stay moderate and onshore for the remainder of the day.  Conditions will be a factor in the afternoon with some chop predicted.

High Tide For Tuesday at 8:05am/8:23pm

Low Tide 1:36am/2:10pm

Time of Post 8pm Local Time
