Surf Report for Wednesday, June 15th 2011

Tamarindo (C.S./Main)

Another big day out on the Main break today.  With waves coming in head high as the tide filled around 11am.  The shape wasn´t holding very well with light offshore winds turning sideshore/onshore around 10am.

The left heading out to the River Mouth was working but only on occasion.  We headed south of the Main break and found conditions there were considerably better with both lefts and rights working with the lefts staying open a bit longer.  Rains did come but with no lightning  everyone was staying in the water.  At Sunset the Main did clean up but the wave was very inconsistent moving between flat and head high with quit a few closeouts.

For Thursday we should be seeing the swell beginning to taper off with predictions calling for chest to shoulder high by the afternoon.  Winds will be nearly dead for the majority of the day, with direction moving around.  Conditions should be clean in the early morning with fair for the remainder of the day.

High Tide at 2:45am/3:00pm

Low Tide at 8:43am/9:17pm

Posted 8:01am on 6-16
