FIRST TIME SURFERS
BEGINNER SURF SCHOOL
If you have never touched a surfboard before or you have tried it a couple of times but want to actually get good, this is where you start. Our patient, local coaches specialize in taking the fear out of the ocean and breaking things down simply.
You will learn right out front in the warm, forgiving, soft sand waves of Tamarindo Bay. We will guide you step by step from standing up on day one to confidently riding down the line, using video review of your sessions to help you dial in your form.

STEPPING UP YOUR GAME
INTERMEDIATE SURF PROGRAM
This program is for surfers who can already catch green waves on their own without a push but want to consistently ride down the unbroken face of the wave. If you already know basic lineup etiquette but feel stuck trying to progress to the next level, this is where you belong.
We focus on finding clean, uncrowded peaks directly in front of the camp, up near the river mouth, or down the beach at Playa Grande. Our coaches use regular video analysis sessions to look at exactly how you move, breaking down your technique so you can read the ocean and make your turns with total confidence.

SEASONED SURFERS
GUIDED SURF TOURS
This track is reserved for independent watermen who have total autonomy in the lineup and want to score the absolute best waves in the region. You do not need a surf lesson, you just want experienced local guides who know exactly where to go based on real time wind, tides, and swell directions to keep you away from the crowds.
Every day features a guided tour to premium regional breaks using our custom air conditioned ground vehicles or heading out by water. For packages of five nights or more, your trip includes an intensive boat tour on our private power cat to chase the world class waves at Witch’s Rock and Ollie’s Point.

1. How do I know which surf program is right for me?
We design our weeks so you can easily drop yourself into the perfect bucket. Here is how to self-qualify:
Beginner: Built for guests with zero previous experience or those who need structured safety, lineup rules, and core fundamentals from day one.
Intermediate: Engineered for surfers who can catch green waves unassisted but want to master riding down an unbroken wave face consistently.
Guided Tours: Reserved for seasoned surfers who want a daily guided tour driven by real-time ocean conditions to chase the region's best reef and beach breaks.
2. Can I switch between programs during the week if I progress quickly?
Yes, absolutely.
If your instructor assesses that your skills have advanced mid-week, you can move directly into the next group tier.
Our absolute priority is keeping you challenged, safe, and on the best possible waves for your actual skill level.
3. Can I book a surf program if I am staying at a different hotel?
Yes, you can stay off-site and join our program.
While our primary beachfront hotel rooms are strictly reserved for guests booking full stay-and-surf packages, we happily welcome outside guests into our programs.
Our off-site surf program rate is $200 a day ($1,400 for the 7-day week). This grants you full access to our daily instruction, video coaching sessions, and our premium equipment quiver.
4. Can we share a room if we are all different surf levels or have non-surfers in our group?
Yes, families and groups can easily mix-and-match.
Our booking engine allows you to combine different surf program tiers or add a non-surfing companion to a single room reservation.
Your crew gets to stay together under one roof, while everyone chooses their own individual pace and wave track during the day.
5. Are there minimum or maximum age limits to join the camp?
None at all.
We welcome guests of every single age group—from young families traveling together to independent solo travelers.
Whether you are a kid in your tens or a healthy, active surfer catching waves well into your late 70s, you belong right here in our lineup.
6. Do you provide surfboards, or am I required to bring my own?
Everything is fully included with your program.
We provide unlimited access to our premium, 300+ board on-site demo quiver right across the street with your package.
You can check out and swap board shapes as often as you want all day long to match the changing daily ocean conditions. You are also more than welcome to bring your own equipment if you prefer.
