Witch’s Rock and Ollie’s Point are two of Costa Rica’s most iconic surf breaks, offering powerful beach breaks, long peeling waves, and unforgettable boat-access surf adventures for intermediate and advanced surfers visiting Guanacaste.
Just north of it lies Ollie’s Point, a world-class right point break known for its long, fast, perfectly peeling waves. On the right swell, it becomes a dream setup for drawn-out rail turns, speed lines, and some of the longest rights in Costa Rica.

What’s Included in a Surf Camp Package?
Our surf packages include accommodations, daily surf lessons or guided surf tours, unlimited surfboard use, daily breakfast, surf seminars, video coaching, and round-trip airport transportation from Liberia International Airport (LIR).
Do I Need Surfing Experience to Join?
No. We offer Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Surf Programs. Our team will help determine the best program based on your current experience level and goals.
Are Surfboards Included in the Package?
Yes. Guests have unlimited access to our surfboard inventory throughout their stay, with boards available for beginners, intermediate surfers, and advanced surfers.
Which Airport Should I Fly Into?
Most guests fly into Liberia International Airport (LIR), located approximately one hour from Tamarindo. Round-trip airport transportation from LIR is included with qualifying surf packages.
How Many Days of Surfing Are Included?
Surf packages require a minimum stay of 4 nights and include daily surf lessons or guided surf tours based on your skill level. The number of surf days is based on the length of your stay. For example, a 7-night package includes 6 days of surfing.
Is Witch’s Rock Surf Camp Good for Solo Travelers?
Yes. Many of our guests travel solo. Our beachfront surf camp environment makes it easy to meet other surfers while enjoying personalized coaching and a welcoming community.
What Is the Difference Between the Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Programs?
The Beginner Surf Program focuses on learning fundamentals and building confidence. The Intermediate Surf Program emphasizes progression through coaching and video analysis. The Advanced Surf Program uses guided surf tours to help experienced surfers find the best waves based on daily conditions.
Can Families Join the Surf Camp?
Yes. We welcome families and offer surf instruction for adults, teens, and children. Families with different experience levels can participate in programs tailored to each surfer.
