Learning to surf starts here. Our Beginner Surf School is designed for first-timers and early surfers who want clear instruction, safe conditions, and fast, noticeable progress.
You’ll practice the fundamentals with patient, professional coaches and start catching real waves sooner than you think.

Witch’s Rock and Ollie’s Point are two of Costa Rica’s most iconic surf spots — a must-surf duo for any intermediate or advanced surfer visiting Guanacaste. Witch’s Rock delivers powerful, consistent beach-break peaks framed by the famous volcanic monolith featured in Endless Summer II, offering long, clean walls and unforgettable rides for surfers ready to push their limits.
Just north of it lies Ollie’s Point, a world-class right point break known for its long, fast, perfectly peeling waves. On the right swell, it becomes a dream setup for drawn-out rail turns, speed lines, and some of the longest rights in Costa Rica.

We provide FREE transportation to and from Liberia International Airport (LIR) in our air conditioned vans. If you are flying to San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO) we can pick you up for a fee.

Enjoy the freedom of choosing waves based on your skill level every day. Playa Tamarindo offers great beginner and intermediate waves, and there are plenty of other breaks nearby for the more seasoned surfers. Depending on your level, our surf instructors will take you to the perfect spot for you. All of our instructors and guides are friendly, bilingual, trained lifeguards, and ISA certified.
Classroom Seminars
Lead by our surf instructors, these are interesting, informative, and fun. They are a great way to meet other people at the camp. Topics include surf science, safety, paddling, and surf etiquette. These are recommended for beginners and intermediate surfers, and advanced surfers are welcome to join for a refresher, or to share your experience.
Daily Breakfast
Fact: Surfing makes you hungry. That’s why we provide a daily complimentary breakfast after your morning session from our surf diner Eat At Joe’s. Pick from anything off of the breakfast menu.
We cater to any skill level, and mixed level surf vacations are available. Even if experienced surfers come with first time surfers it is no problem. Since our surf camp is located directly in front of waves for different skill levels on the same beach, you can book a group or family at Witch’s Rock Surf Camp, and each individual can choose their own skill level.
