When you’re planning a surf trip to Tamarindo, we all know that Liberia Airport (LIR) or as it’s called now, Guanacaste Airport, is the best option. It’s just a quick 1 to 1.5-hour drive to Witch’s Rock Surf Camp. Depending on the traffic (and how fast Will drives that day), you’ll be beachside before you know it. Plus, if you arrive on a Saturday, our shuttles are free! Super convenient, right?

But, sometimes, the cheapest flights will land you in San José. And we get it, no one’s looking forward to the 5 to 6-hour drive from SJO to our surf camp. We’ve been there too. That’s why we’re always on the lookout for ways to make your journey to Tamarindo as smooth and enjoyable as possible. We’re still working on teleportation (stay tuned 😉), but until then, we’ve teamed up with Sansa Airlines to bring you the next best thing: a quick, scenic 50-minute flight from San José to Tamarindo.
