Community Involvement

Pack for a Purpose

Witch’s Rock Surf Camp is now a proud member of “Pack for a Purpose”, a non-profit organization that connects travelers to local charitable foundations. To get involved, take time to look at the organizations below to see what items are most needed. Pack for a purpose by filling any extra space in your luggage with a few desired items for drop-off on our site. We’ll do the rest by making sure your items are delivered and put in the hands of those who need them most. Any and all donations are welcome. Gracias!

Kids Club Playa Grande / Playa Grande Public School

Kids Club Playa GrandeKids Club Playa Grande (KCPG) is a grassroots undertaking that provides the local children of Playa Grande and surrounding area with diverse opportunities. The children (ages 3-18 years ) are given the chance to participate in sports, environmental and cultural activities that would otherwise not be available to them. KCPG is supported solely as a community-based effort and has been embraced and enhanced by wonderful citizens from around world. We work closely with Playa Grande School, enhancing the schools environment and equipment to improve the quality of education. We also bring in volunteer specialists and guests to share their expertise with the children. We are presently working on a sustainable garden project at the school. We have installed a water tank and plan to begin the implementation of both a garden and school improvement project. We are also working on a PlayGround improvement campaign, which will provide a basketball court for the youth of the Playa Grande area. We presently have many volunteers and guests contacting us (through word of mouth and social media) with the desire to assist, by bringing much needed items such as sporting equipment, school supplies and the like in order to keep our program running. We are presently privately funded and rely on donations and volunteers.
