Community Involvement
Witch’s Rock Surf Camp wants to give back to the local community. Although our guests may only see the beautiful beaches and smiling faces in Tamarindo, there are many communities just minutes away that need support from kind-hearted people like you. We love Costa Rica, and we work alongside a charitable organization, Cepia, which does amazing work in our area. If you have any extra space in your luggage, please bring down any supplies listed below. Whether you can bring just a few toothbrushes or a suitcase full of items, everything helps. We’ll do the rest by making sure your items are delivered and put in the hands of those who need them most. Any and all donations are welcome. Gracias!
CEPIA stands for Culture, Education and Psychology for Infants and Adolescents and is a Costa Rican non-profit organization that seeks to promote culture, health, sports and education for children and teenagers and their families from poor backgrounds in the communities of Guanacaste, Costa Rica. Since 2005.
Poverty, Violence, school dropouts, health problems, unemployment…, this is the every-day reality for thousands of children and families in Guanacaste. Volunteers and staff members support 800 children and teenagers as well as their families every year. Through after‐school programs, psychological help for victims, educational projects for high‐risk youth, professional trainings, food bank, the library, movie nights etc, we sustain daily supportive frameworks for those who need it the most. CEPIA received the French‐ German Prize of Human Rights 2012 in Costa Rica, and our board president Laetitia is selected as a Fellow of the Central America Leadership Initiative (CALI), a branch of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
