Witch’s Rock Costa Rics Surf Camp is located directly on the beach on the northern end of Playa Tamarindo.
This stretch of beach is known as the Tamarindo beach break. Tamarindo’s best learning waves can be found here, with better conditions on a mid to high tide.
The beach has a sand bottom and there are lifeguards on duty 7 days/week. The atmosphere in the water is generally very welcoming and mellow.
Costa Rica Surf Camp offers surfing programs for surfers of all ages and all abilities.
When you make your reservation with us, we will discuss your surfing experience and sign you up for the surf program that best suits your needs
This program is for guests with little or no surfing experience. Our qualified instructors will teach you the basics of surfing with daily in-water surf lessons. By the end of the week you’ll be up and riding waves, we guarantee! Besides in-water lessons, you will attend daily surf seminars in our classroom or on the beach. These seminars are fun, educational, and a great way to meet other people at the camp.
This program is for guests with surfing experience that are looking to improve. We take you on daily surf tours to local beaches that offer more challenging surf conditions. We provide surf coaching and help build your skills. We also utilize video analysis in this program. Both the Beginner and Intermediate Surf Programs go on a Graduation Surf Tour every Friday.
The Advanced Surf Tours program is designed for established surfers and provides no surfing instruction. We simply take you to the best waves along the northwest coast of Costa Rica by van or boat. Surf famous spots like Playa Grande, Avellanas, Marbella, Nosara, Witch’s Rock, and Ollie’s Point.
