Surf Report for Friday, March 18th 2011

Playa Grande (Photos)

Spent the morning in Grande with the winds tearing offshore.  Waves were ok in the morning but closing fast and shape was a pretty steep.  After noon, closer to high tide, the shape really started to come together and the rides got much longer.  Barrels also began taking shape here and there.

Back in Tamarindo we were also seeing some great waves around noon.  The main break as well as Pico Grande were coming in around 4 to 5 feet with strong offshore winds and fairly clean conditions.

For tomorrow we´ll be seeing the waves stay in the stomach to shoulder high range.  Winds will most likely stay strong for the morning and a good portion of the afternoon.  Conditions in the water should be clean for the entire day.

High Tide for Saturday will be at 2:01am/2:25pm

Low Tide at 8:05am/8:35pm

Time of Post 4:30pm Local Time.
