Surf Report for Monday, June 6th 2011

Tamarindo

A great early morning here on the main break.  Some great shape on waist high waves.  Water was warm and the winds were blowing light offshore leaving conditions in the water near perfect.  Things started to close out around 8am but there was still the occasional ultra clean set rolling through.

Mid day there was a bit of a lull with the tide sucking out the wave size dropped to knee high and under.  Winds were very cooperative today staying light offshore for the entire day.  We even had a quick afternoon shower to tamp down the temperature.

Late in the day wave size began to climb back up with some sets reaching up to shoulder high.  Waves were closing on the main break but there were some shoulders open near the Rocks and over towards the River Mouth.

For Tuesday the swell that has apparently stalled out should finally arrive.    Predictions are calling for overhead coming out of the SSW.  Unfortunately the winds will be coming out of the same direction bringing in some rough conditions.

Hight Tide for Tomorrow at 6:36am/6:53pm

Low at 12:12am/12:36pm

Time of Post 8:40pm Local Time
