Surf Report for Tuesday, June 14th 2011

Tamarindo

Winds were moving pretty fast offshore starting early in the morning.  With the wind keeping the water glassy  the waves did there part, coming in stomach to head high with some near perfect shape.  In the late morning we saw some standout overhead but they were not able to hold shape and mostly closed out.  The winds stayed solid offshore until around 2:30 pm with set after set rolling in, lefts and rights with the size diminishing somewhat in the early afternoon.  By 3 the conditions had turned semi choppy and the break lost some of the organization.  Heavy rain and lightning cleared out the water for most of the afternoon.  A few people came back for the sunset session with the River Mouth firing around chest to shoulder high with winds kicking back offshore.

Winds are  predicted to move onshore around noon on Wednesday.  Conditions should stay fairly clean until the winds shift.   At high tide we should begin to see waves similar to yesterday, with predictions for head high and occasional slightly overhead coming out of the SSW.  Afternoon conditions may end up being fairly choppy.

High Tide for Wednesday at 1:51am/2:09pm

Low Tide at 7:49am/8:27pm

Posted 8:35am on 6-15
