Surf Report for Wednesday, February 23rd 2011 (Morning)

Marbella (all photos)

Headed down to Marbella this morning so that we could get a little more southern exposure.  Waves were great.  Mostly in the waist to chest high range while further up the beach they were breaking consistently shoulder high and up.  We did see a few well formed head high sets roll through where we were at.

Winds were steady moving directly offshore with near glass conditions for most of the morning.

Back home in Tamarindo waves were hovering around knee high most of the morning until around 9am when a couple of chest high sets rolled through.  Right now at the main break conditions are pretty flat with low tide just past.  Winds are a little shifty but moving mainly offshore.

For this afternoon and evening winds will continue to shift around while the swell continues to build.  Predictions are for chest high waves but we´ll probably see somewhere in the waist high range for the Tamarindo main.

High Tide for tonight at 6:45pm

Time of Post 1:07pm local time.
