This song was inspired by my desire to share the experience of surfing through music. In college I experienced many surfing adventures in the US. As a father I wanted my daughter Sophie to experience the beauty, chaos, and solitude of surfing. I searched for a superior learning experience for her and was referred to Witch’s Rock Surf Camp by a college roommate that had been surfing the camp for many years. From the moment when we arrived, the surf instructors became our friends and adopted Sophie as their little sister. Evenings were filled with music, new friends from all over the world, and dinners with the legendary Robert August. Witch’s Rock Surf Camp became a magical place for us to unwind and commune with nature.
