Ya viene las olas! (Here come the waves)
Yes, in Costa Rica, there are always waves coming…But this weekend (Starting Friday),our Pacific Coast is expected to get its first FULL serving of South West Swell. The initial energy originated with a Category-5 Cyclone spinning off the coast of New Zealand last week.
Since then, the storm has undergone a subtropical transformation and flared up into the biggest #purpleblob of the year!
Or, enjoy the view from your cozy living room couch with our Tamarindo Live Surf Cam.
Isaac is back!
After dealing with a lower-back injury and having to withstand 4 surf-less months, WRSC professional team rider, Isaac Vega will be returning to competition! As of now, he is scheduled to compete in the local Guanacaste Circuit and the Costa Rican National Circuit. When asked how he felt about returning to competition, Vega said, “Me sentía muy ansioso de estar en las competencias! Ahora estoy tomando ritmo para subir mi nivel. (I’ve felt anxious to return to competition! Right now, I’m getting in the rhythm to raise my level.)”
Vecinos nuevos (New Neighbors)
Now that mango season is in full swing, Witch’s Rock has got some new neighbors! These furry fellows have been feasting on our directly adjacent Mango tree for the past month, and will continue to do so until the tree is bare. But who can blame them? If I could climb like that I’d be on the 100% mango diet as well Que lindos los Monos.
