Welcome to Tamarindo, Costa Rica! If you’re planning a trip to our beautiful town, you’ll find that it’s small and easy to navigate.
While walking is a great way to get around and see everything Tamarindo has to offer, we understand that it may not be for everyone.
That’s where a golf cart rental could be a fun alternative for those who want a unique way to explore the town.
And wouldn’t you know it? Witch’s Rock Surf Camp now has 3 golf carts available for rent for our guests. These electric golf carts are perfect for cruising locally and exploring all that Tamarindo has to offer. They’re easy to navigate and easy to park, especially in the busier parts of town. They’re environmentally friendly, so you can feel good that you’re not burning any gas. And they’re also fun to drive!
One of the advantages of renting a golf cart is that it allows you to explore some areas of Tamarindo that you otherwise might not see. The far end of Playa Tamarindo (Capitan Suizo) is a good spot to visit. With limited parking options along the 2 beach access trails, parking the golf cart is a snap. We also suggest checking out the beaches in Langosta, located just past Capitan Suizo about 1.5 miles south. There are a few great photo spots you can drive to along the multiple backroads in Tamarindo, so go find and capture that iconic Tamarindo sunset. And let’s not forget a Tamarindo pub crawl. Always more fun to do with a golf cart (and with a designated driver of course!)
Besides the tourist stuff, just driving a golf cart down the road is a fun experience. You’re in the shade but you’re still outside. There’s always so much to see throughout the town. The traffic jams don’t suck quite as bad. The sights, sounds, and smells of this Costa Rica beach culture can be fully absorbed as you cruise town at 8 mph.
So there you go. Honestly, you don’t need a golf cart in Tamarindo. But you just might want one. And if you do, just let us know! You can rent golf carts by the day or by the week, and it’s a breeze to add one to your existing surf camp reservation. Contact our reservations office for more information, or stop by our surf shop when you’re here in Tamarindo.
