This weekend, April 12 and 13, the Circuito Guanacasteco de Surf will host their 5th event at the Tamarindo Estuary presented by Aqua and That’s Amore. Categories are available to men and women of all ages and the competition will showcase some of Guanacaste’s top surfers in the area. Since this upcoming event is basically held in our own front yard, we at Witch’s Rock Surf Camp couldn’t resist but to be a bigger part of the action.
Unlike all previous stops in the circuit, this event will feature a 30-45 min Witch’s Rock Air Show where top aerialist will boost their best air for a 1st place cash prize! There are 12 spots available for this heat which promises to be a highlight of the event. And with a fun-sized south swell expected to fill in over the weekend, we could be in for a high-flying spectacle.
As usual, Witch’s will be sponsoring our star-instructor, Isaac Vega, who is currently sitting at number 2 in the overall circuit rankings. With a strong finish in this event, Isaac could be looking to defend his top position going into the final contest at Playa Negra in a few weeks. We wish him all the luck and can’t wait to watch his incredible surfing.
Our Tamarindo community pulses around the surfing culture, and with a premier contest located right in the heart of town, we can expect an absolutely killer event (and Airshow!).
